David Lai

Mr. David Lai is a consultant of Ling & Lawyers.

A graduate of pharmacology, Mr. Lai had been a member of senior management for decades with multinational pharmaceutical companies before pursuing his second career in law and bringing his zest for the legal profession.

Mr. Lai completed his traineeship at a corporate law firm and was involved actively in many IPO projects of various industries. He was involved in different processes of IPO projects such as prospectus drafting, due diligence, as well as answering questions from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Securities and Futures Commission. In commercial practice, Mr. Lai was also involved in the drafting of announcements for listed companies and general commercial agreements.

Before joining Ling & Lawyers, Mr. Lai was an assistant solicitor at a civil and criminal litigation law firm, where he handled civil litigation cases such as commercial dispute and fraud, personal injuries, matrimonial & family matters, and adverse possession. He is familiar with court procedures and drafting of court documents.

Mr. Lai was admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and is licensed to practice law in Hong Kong. His special interests are Matrimonial, Personal Injury, Corporate & Commercial and Intellectual Property.
