Community & CSR
We are a firm supporter of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, in particular SDG 16, which aims to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
We are also in support of the “Vision 2030 for Rule of Law” initiative of the Department of Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for the promotion and education of the rule of law, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of inclusive and fair societies at both the local and international levels.
Among others, our lawyers actively participate in pro-bono or community work:
Free Legal Advice Scheme
The Scheme is administered by the Duty Lawyer Service, with referral agencies including the Home Affairs Department of the HKSAR Government. The Scheme provides free legal advice to members of the public who have limited financial resources.
School Talks
This Program is administered by the Community Relations Committee of The Law Society of Hong Kong. The Program aims at promoting and educating the rule of law among secondary school students.
