Mr. Evan Xian is a partner of Ling & Lawyers.
Mr. Xian holds dual legal qualifications as both a Chinese lawyer and a lawyer in Hong Kong.
Mr. Xian graduated from the Law School of Sun Yat-sen University with a Bachelor of Laws in Economic Law and a Master of Laws in International Law. Following his studies, he served in the Guangdong court system for many years, handling numerous challenging and complex cases as both a first-instance and second-instance judge.
Subsequently, Mr. Xian pursued further legal education in the United States and at the University of Hong Kong, specializing in Anglo-American law. He successfully passed the Hong Kong Lawyers Qualification Examination and worked with internationally renowned law firms in Hong Kong, such as Deacons and Loeb & Loeb. With extensive experience spanning corporate law, commercial law, intellectual property law, and matrimonial law, Mr. Xian has been actively practicing in mainland China and Hong Kong. He has represented clients in various courts and arbitration centers across both jurisdictions, specializing in litigation, arbitration, investment and mergers and acquisitions, as well as family wealth planning and matrimonial and family affairs.
Mr. Xian is recognized as one of the thousand Chinese foreign-related lawyers recommended by the Ministry of Justice of China. He also serves as an off-campus tutor for master students at South China Normal University, an expert reviewer of regulatory translations of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, Deputy Secretary-General of the Legal Professional Committee of the Council for the Promotion of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation, and a special mediator of the Guangzhou Internet Court.
